Pastor Dennis Deardorff 503-659-5683 Dennis is a native to Oregon and has lived in the Portland area all of his life. He graduated from Clackamas High School in 1964, Cascade College in 1969 with a BS in Psychology and from Western Evangelical Seminary in 1974 with the Master of Divinity. He has been a pastor for over 40 years in the Portland area. He served as youth and then senior pastor of Trinity Community Church from 1974 to 1989. Since 1989 he has been on the pastoral staff at New Hope Community Church where he has led in the areas of regional and Adult Ministries. Since 1995 he has also overseen the Men's Ministries at New Hope. He has also served with the Clackamas County Men's Ministry Development Team, a regional arm of Promise Keepers, encouraging local churches with their Men’s Ministries. He has worked extensively in the areas of discipleship, small groups, teaching, and leadership development. His passion is to see men discipled and equipped to disciple other men. He sees Romans 8:29 as the mandate on men's lives - seeing men transformed into the image of Jesus. Pastor Dennis has been married to his wife Shirley for 42 years. Pastor Kevin Janisse 971-645-1152
Kevin was born and raised in Michigan. In 1996 he moved to Rockford, IL and then to Clackamas, OR in 2002. He graduated from LSSU with an BS in Electrical Eng. and an Associates in Mechanical Eng. He later earned a Business degree through online studies. He has been helping men gain a better understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ since 1992 when he started working with Promise Keepers. Since that time he has been instrumental in the development of bible studies geared towards getting men plugged into biblical truth. His primary focus is to equip and train teachers of the word to send out to do the same. Matthew 27:18-20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” In addition to bible teaching, Kevin is an accomplished martial artist in the discipline of HapKiDo and KongShinBup. He has won numerous awards and is in the Martial Artists Hall of Fame. He currently oversees several schools and martial arts ministries and is available to coach churches in this area of interest. Kevin is also involved in youth ministry and is currently working with the High School age group. His belief is that we need to reach boys before they become men in order to help them understand what is is to be a real man. This way they can be empowered to be good husbands and fathers. Kevin has been married for 15 years to his wife Debbie and has two boys, Samuel ages 14 and Matthew age 9. He has no grandchildren and is not in a hurry to get them...lol
